How to classify songs as Christmas songs?
What 'standards' are they using?
Is it any songs that include the word Christmas? Or Santa Claus? Or sleigh rides or anything relates to Winter? Or the sound of bells?
Or what?
Cause mostly when I look at the collections of Christmas songs.. you might find these songs on the list..
"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"
"Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
"All I Want For Christmas Is You"
"Blue Christmas"
"Jingle Bells"
"Frosty The Snowman"
etc..
And I begin to wonder..
What is Christmas all about?
Have we forgotten the "essence" of Christmas itself?
Is Christmas really about Santa Claus?
